REPOSITORY DIAGNOSIS & REPAIR

You built
something cool.
Now meet
the code.

Turn AI-built, inherited, and fast-moving codebases into software you understand, trust, and can keep building.

Human judgment. Practical fixes. Your code.

Auth flow undocumented

Two session paths disagree about when a user is signed in. Map the flow before changing it.

SOUND FAMILIAR?

The app works.
The confidence doesn’t.

You don’t need to have the diagnosis. You just need to recognize the feeling.

THE UNDERSTANDING GAP

Code got faster.
Context didn’t.

AI can accelerate the first version. But someone still has to understand the decisions, the dependencies, and what happens when a real person uses it.

RepoRX helps the understanding catch up.

01 / THE REPORX CHECKUP

First, understand
what you’ve got.

A useful diagnosis connects the files to the decisions. We look at the system, explain what matters, and give you a plan.

  • A map of the moving parts
  • Risks ranked by real-world impact
  • What to fix — and what to leave alone
  • A clear next step, in plain English

PRIORITY 01

Make the auth flow predictable.

Why it matters: session failures affect every signed-in customer.

Illustrative findings, not a scan of your repository.

02 / A CLEAR WAY THROUGH

Scan. Diagnose. Treat. Hand Back.

Four steps. An agreed scope. No mystery handoff.

  1. 01

    Scan

    Get the whole picture.

We trace the structure, build, dependencies, key flows, and deployment path.

  2. 02

    Diagnose

    Find what actually matters.

You get a prioritized explanation of the risks, the tradeoffs, and what can stay as it is.

  3. 03

    Treat

Agree the work. Fix the cause.

We define a focused repair scope, make changes in a reviewable branch, and check the behavior.

  4. 04

    Hand Back

Leave you able to move forward.

Clear documentation, a walkthrough, and next steps put the knowledge back in your hands.

03 / THE HANDOFF

Less “don’t touch that.”
More “here’s how it works.”

THE SAME REPO. A DIFFERENT FEELING.
# README.md# my-awesome-app// probably don't touch auth- Setup: ask whoever built it- Deploy: try the old script?- Tests: coming soon
BEFORE / UNCERTAINTY

“I hope this doesn’t break.”

A working product, with too much knowledge missing from the repository.

Illustrative handoff. The right repair depends on your repository.

THE RIGHT HELP FOR YOUR REPO

Start with the problem.

A checkup gives us the context. These are the kinds of work that can follow.

A CLEAR SCOPE BEFORE A BIG COMMITMENT

Diagnosis first.
Decisions second.

Start with a Repo Checkup. Then choose whether to repair, document, or take the plan back to your team.

THE STARTING POINT

Repo Checkup

A repository review, a prioritized diagnosis, and a practical next-step plan.

YOUR CODE STAYS YOURS

Trust starts
before access.

Clear boundaries matter. Agree the scope, access, and confidentiality before sharing code.

More about the process
Do you need access to our whole repo?

A useful review needs enough context to trace the relevant system. Start by describing the project; agree the repositories and access level before sharing anything. Read-only access is the starting point for diagnosis.

Will you change production?

Diagnosis and repair are separate scopes. Repairs are proposed in a branch for review. Any production change or deployment needs an explicit agreement with your team.

What about secrets and customer data?

Keep API keys, credentials, and customer data out of the intake brief and any shared archive. A review usually needs code and sanitized configuration, not live production records.

Can we use an NDA?

Raise any NDA, confidentiality, retention, or access requirements before sharing code. Those terms should be agreed as part of the engagement.

Is this only for AI-generated code?

No. AI-built, inherited, rushed, and long-lived repositories all benefit from clearer context. The starting point is the problem you need to solve.

What do we get back?

A prioritized diagnosis, system notes, and next steps. If you proceed with repairs, the agreed handoff includes reviewable changes, relevant checks, and practical documentation.

A PRACTICE FROM JIODE

Built around
understanding.

RepoRX brings focused technical care to the gap between having software and knowing how to own it. The work is personal: clear explanations, considered decisions, and a useful handoff.
